This Week in Manufacturing
The right combination can change the entire trajectory of your business–when done correctly. This week’s feature company has grown by expanding technologically, but still remaining true to its mission.
Our feature company is B9Creations of Rapid City, South Dakota. With a freshly minted Dallas office, this 3D printer manufacturer also provides proprietary software to its clients. Diversification into other industries has kept them stable, but a strong focus on customer experience has kept customers loyal.
This week’s Social Video AND Fun Fact pair up to deliver the benefits and opportunities ahead for 3D printing. The sky is literally the limit, along with our imaginations…
Next, this week’s headlines showcase other strong combinations throughout defense support, automotive, chip-making, and more.
Finally, this week's podcasts challenge you to think about the broader impacts of the resurgence in American manufacturing–from free trade to “digitalizing the middle”. Enjoy The Manufacturing Executive and Heavy Hitters.

♨️ B9Creations
What started with funding from Kickstarter as a high-end, hobbyist, prosumer product company making robot parts in the founder’s garage has evolved into an internationally known leader in digital manufacturing technology.
The founder’s original vision was to create a product that provided a surface finish and dimensional accuracy that was better than what was on the market when the business started.
Now occupying 18,000 square feet in its Rapid City facility and with another office in Dallas, B9Creations, now manufactures precision 3D printers for a variety of industries, and still makes parts for some existing customers in work overflow situations.
Upshot: “The core values of the organization, in terms of developing powerful technology that’s accessible, and delivering a great customer experience, have not changed.”
