💴 This Week in Manufacturing
Many inventions have been heralded as game-changing, only to quickly fade into obscurity when they fail to garner lasting momentum. Alternative fuels are showing they plan to stick around–just like grassroots movements in tech. Let’s dive into both in this week’s newsletter.
First off, more than alternative fuels are making headlines. Why can’t we have electric motorcycles, liquid green hydrogen, and sustainable airplanes? The future looks green.
Pivoting, both of this week’s podcast episodes deliver lessons on reshaping tech through networking and education. Who’s ready to go back to school? Listen to new episodes of Heavy Hitters and a16z, today!
This week’s feature company, CASPR Technologies, is on-trend with technology alternatives. They’re working to deliver fast-acting disinfection to improve health.
Finally, today’s Fun Fact supports all this domestic manufacturing growth as companies plan to reshore their operations. Let’s start hiring!

♨️ CASPR Technologies
CASPR (Continuous Air & Surface Pathogen Reduction) Technologies is a health-tech company on a mission to make the world indoors a better place.
Since the COVID-19 pandemic, indoor air quality has been a concern for many people. In early 2023, the ASHRAE Standard 241 was implemented in the United States to reduce the risk of airborne infectious aerosol transmission in buildings.
CASPR was the first company to complete ASHRAE-241 testing. The results showed CASPR’s solutions are able to reduce aerosolized MS2 virus by 70 percent in just four minutes and 99 percent in 30 minutes.
Upshot: “CASPR is the first technology on the market that can clean air and surfaces simultaneously."
🤨 Did You Know?
After a national survey, 83% of manufacturers said they are likely to reshore their production lines.
